Partner with the dream of

Thousand Oaks

Building a place where families are held, not just helped—before, during, and after child separation.

At Thousand Oaks, we’re just beginning—but the vision is clear. We dream of a Christ-centered, trauma-informed agency that walks alongside birth families, care families, and children during child separation—not as caseworkers, but as relational bridges. We long to create space where healing is possible for everyone impacted.

This fundraiser is our first step. With your support, we’ll begin building the foundation to offer training, community care, and spiritual support for families in crisis—offering more than a system ever could: presence, empathy, and truth rooted in compassion.

What’s on the horizon at Thousand Oaks?

  • Family Support: Tangible resources tailored to the unique needs of each family walking through child separation. Things like emergency care kits for children entering new homes, transportation assistance for birth parents attending court or visitation, meal trains during transition periods, and ongoing emotional & spiritual support through check-ins, coaching, and care packages.

  • Training: Trauma-informed, Spirit-led curriculum to equip “care families” called to support both the children in their care and the birth families they came from—creating a bridge of hope, healing, and relational restoration during times of separation.

  • Community Events & Outreach: From Family Connection Nights and WRAP support initiatives to seasonal Farmers Markets, Clothes Closet pop-ups, Holiday Celebrations, and more—each gathering is designed to foster belonging, offer tangible support, and build bridges between families and the community.

  • Future Placement Agency: Laying groundwork to become a certified child placement agency rooted in relationship and family restoration.

  • Thousand Oaks Village: a healing-centered community where care families live alongside the children in their care, and birth families are welcomed with dignity. It will be a place of refuge, reconnection, and restoration. A space for visits, ongoing education, and soul-deep healing—all under one canopy of care.

  • Stay tuned—these programs and more are in development as we prepare to launch.

“We became a foster family out of obedience. What we didn’t expect was the deep need—for support, for healing, and for hope—in every corner of the system. Thousand Oaks was born out of that need.”
